States With No Sales Tax
states with no state income tax this one is gonna be the five states only five with no sales tax
one of them actually is on both of those lists and that is Alaska so if you want to know state income tax in no sales tax move to Alaska and freeze your buns off so here the five we got Alaska is number one I’m gonna give you a couple quick little cool tips and I’ve gotten off some notes here that’s why I look down every once in a while Alaska and once again has no state income tax as well where they make it up is a little bit on property taxes
but the biggest the lion’s share of all their tax revenue comes from royalties in tax revenue on the big oil companies like Exxon and BP Conoco that are all in Alaska and doing a lot of drilling and get a lot of oil out of Alaska so that’s kind of cool the fourth one Montana the state of Montana, for the most part, has no sales tax whatsoever however they do have fairly high-income taxes that kind of offset that a little bit so Montana is still considered somewhat of an expensive place to live even without the sales tax number three in New Hampshire
we’ve all heard of New Hampshire I think it’s even on there a little license plate live free or die and New Hampshire actually gives residents a double tax break with no sales tax and an income tax that applies only to interest and dividend income, of course, they do have very high property taxes there anyone in New Hampshire can attest to that number two Delaware they’ve got some really cool tax breaks and it’s the reason you see a lot of corporations happen to mean domicile in Delaware and eight points seven flat corporate income tax rate really big and of course that also helps them to have no sales tax whatsoever for you the consumer and the number one these are not ranked by any means but the number one out of five here is Oregon and it looks very similar to Washington, of course, Washington has very high sales taxes but no state income tax while Oregon kind of flip-flops and has very high-income tax but no sales tax whatsoever stay tuned to the rest of if you States With No Sales Tax

In the United States, sales tax is governed at the state level and no national general sales tax exists. Forty-five states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, and Guam impose general sales taxes that apply to the sale or lease of most goods and some services, and states also may levy selective sales taxes on the sale or lease of particular goods or services. States may also delegate to local governments the authority to impose additional general or selective sales taxes.
